1.  Which Wich has the best cookies and cream shakes.  Ever.  Go there.  It's the best oreo to ice cream ratio hands down.

2. Back when the leaves were everywhere and so pretty.  This was taken on campus.  I hate the cold but who else can say their campus was practically on a mountain.  Thanks BYU for the sore hamstrings without the benefits.

3. I'm addicted to Milagros green salsa. And it's so close to our house. We end up here a lot.

4-5. Daisy and Gatsby for Halloween. I had to convince him hard for this one.

7. These girls are so great! i cant wait until winter so darbs and makena are back!!

8-9. The night we were at a concert here. it was scary and we were tired. unicorns were involved. and lots of boy bands wearing makeup..the things we do for friends.

10. Date night at the only place in Utah with Blue Bell ice cream.  Catch me here every weekend.  I'm in love.

11. Danielle's 22 birthday!!! Couldn't have asked for a better friend.  This one is a GEM and my favorite Georgia peach there ever was.

did i mention we met at a halloween party???


its true. a provo halloween party. behind one of those old houses on university ave that doesnt actually exist anymore. i was dressed as a nerd. he was wearing a costume he threw together with clothes from DI. it was his first weekend back in provo after his mission. i was starting my sophomore year of college. we talked for a total of 2 minutes about who we knew and went our separate ways. he forgot me. (i facebook stalked him....)

Octoberness

I'm really okay with it being October. Mostly because it's my favorite. I love fall. I love fall in Utah.

Also this weekend my lovely fam came to see me :) even though the weekend did not turn out as lovely as we had planned

I've already been to Sundance twice to see the changing leaves

and made pumpkin cookies with the yummiest icing

Also, it is the greatest because instead of going to church we can sit at home in pajamas and watch this.

 I can't wait to dress up for Halloween and watch scary movies with my Chan.  

Except actually last time we went to a haunted house someone jumped out at him and he ran..

camping + dates on dates

hi

im tired and waiting on hubs to decide he wants to sleep too.  while i'm waiting i decided i should do a weekend recap because lets be real... my weeks arent so exciting and full of lots of school work and group meetings and wasted hours in the library.  on weekends im fun though.  i do stuff, okay!  promise.

like this weekend we went camping.  up squaw peak.  and it was gorgeous.

i said i don't do well in the outdoors, which is true, but when it's fall in utah i have to soak up every second of beautiful sunlight and colorful leaf because let me tell you--it does not last long.  

hanging out with chan and lance was probably the funniest nights i've had in a while.  we stayed up super late (for married people) and chandler and lance just played guitar and chandler and i attempted to give our famous dating advice.. haha

also, we woke up to some kids taking down our tent and then running away laughing?  what?  also, the whole night it never got totally dark.  like we could see everything perfectly?  so weird.

saturday night was date night for us.  which means we went to milagros and loaded up on the green salsa and horchata + furniture shopping aka sitting on couches and trying to avoid the salesmen.  also watching men in black when we got home.  yep.  married life.

oh and tonight was great because we cooked dinner and had lots of friends over which is always the best catching up with everyone. especially danielle because she's my southern peach.






the more i write the more it shows how sleepy i am.. oops.

also, like 3 people this week have told me im funny.  that has to count for something.

school again and stuff

1. married people don't eat out but we spend $13 on notebooks??? byu bookstore you're the worst.

2. on a better note, Chan has a Salt Lake class so Thursday I rode the front runner with him and spent three hours chatting with the makeup ladies in Sephora. Oh and spent way too much money.  Sorry I can't resist a few good complements.

3. i decided i wanted to hike mt. timp and we ended up getting hailed on. guys this is why i should just never ever go outside....

4. the only reason Chandler wanted to finally buy a tv for our house was after he bought all three lord of the rings movies. i broke down and watched them all for the first time this week. my husband is a nerd.

5. oh and i make homemade pizza and bread now! just call me a homemaker!

6. every weekend is dedicated to decorating our new house. literally makes me miss dorm shopping when all i needed was a bedspread and a bulletin board. maybe a monogrammed towel. now, i need couches and hutches and filing cabinets.

7. hahahahaha im dying at how bad we both are at taking iphone pictures.  chan is so proud of his trees. yeeeeeeee. love him.

8. i love fall. pumpkin everything + leggings being socially acceptable? YES.

9. i love you provo. you can stop raining now.

 My favorite thing about having Chandler at home with me this summer is being able to get him addicted to all of my favorite things. (Ahh he likes sushi--he CRAVES sushi???? I LOVE IT!)

More importantly, he now knows the perfection of smoothie king. Three smoothies are necessary sometimes, right? 

ONWARDS>>>NYC

We went to New York City for this little stud's 16th birthday. I'm obsessed with New York, but definitely more obsessed with Trace. I mean, how darling is he?

It was the best time.  We shopped and played and ate, which is what my fam is all about.

Mostly the food.  We were only there 3 days and ate at Toloache twice, but can you really blame us?  Best tacos I've ever eaten.  Unlike all the dollar tacos for five dollars that you get in Provo.

 We even got to catch up with Chandler's brother Taylor and his wife Shelby.  Casually chillin in Central Park with locals.  But really it was so fun seeing them on our little trip.

 Broadway is probably my favorite thing about New York.

Actually I have this problem when I am in New York that I become obsessed with everything.  Like when I'm in New York that everything is the best or most exciting.  Overly positive Al.  Sorry.

But really I'm just blown away every time I go to a show by the talent and work that is put into broadway.  Its UNREAL.  I think I missed my calling in life.

Happy Birthday T-dub.  I love you so much!

touristy things

 One of my favorite things about summer is getting to explore new places.  Whether it's a new restaurant or a new city, I love being a tourist and seeing places I've never seen before.  

Chan had a few days off for the 4th of July, so we decided to roadtrip to Charleston!  We seriously had the best time touring the city.  We fell in love with the history, beauty, and amazing food.  

Also, I think we stopped at every single candy store or ice cream shop that we passed.

Oh and we had the coolest tripod that could attach to pretty much anything.  We took pictures everywhere and were trying to experiment with it but then people would pass and ask to take our pictures so it just got awkward....

 seriously in love with every home and the beautiful colors. obsesseddddd.

oh and i love him.  thanks for not wanting to kill me after 11 hours in the car. xx

the time we played with baby alligators

 Guys, I hate animals.  Like all of them, but when Chan and I decided to live in Mississippi this summer, I promised to give him an authentic southern experience.  Naturally, he wanted to see a swamp.  Friday when Chan got off work, we drove to Louisiana for a swamp tour.  It was insane.  Like a man putting his hand in an alligators mouth insane.  Also telling weird stories about how you can tell if an alligator is male or female? .... Oh and a tour guide got pulled in the water by a gator a year ago so i felt really safe????

whatever.  at least the day ended in beignets.

The Honeymoon

We sailed almost everyday. Chandler was obsessed.

We stayed on a tiny island in the West Indies called Nevis.

Did I mention that this place was practically deserted? Yeah. Dream.
